About this opportunity
The Albert Scholarships provide financial support to postgraduate students at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music at the University of Sydney. Established in 2008 through a donation by Robert O Albert, this scholarship assists students in advancing their musical studies at the postgraduate level.
The scholarship is awarded based on academic merit and/or portfolio and performance. For postgraduate research applicants, research achievements and potential may also be considered. Applicants may be required to attend an interview, and the scholarship is awarded by the Dean of the Sydney Conservatorium of Music.
No application is necessary as eligible students are automatically considered for this scholarship as part of their admission application to the Sydney Conservatorium of Music. The scholarship is tenable for one year only and is not deferrable.
For coursework students, recipients must maintain a minimum weighted average mark (WAM) of 65 each semester. For postgraduate research students, progression is subject to passing the annual progress review. The scholarship may be held by students enrolled in either postgraduate coursework or research degrees on a full-time basis.
