About this opportunity
This scholarship supports students commencing a Master of Interaction Design and Electronic Arts in the Sydney School of Architecture, Design and Planning. Established in 2017, this scholarship was founded from a donation from Atlassian to commemorate the life of Alexandria Harbin, a much loved member of Atlassian's design team. In her own words, Alex was "passionate about providing seamless, engaging experiences primarily in a digital medium". As well as being a talented user interface designer, Alex had a keen interest in ceramics, crafts, fashion, travel and philanthropy. The scholarship provides financial assistance to students studying in the area of user interface design. Recipients will be selected based on academic merit in their undergraduate degree, and will participate in a one-hour interview to assess drive and passion, as well as a one-hour exercise to assess design thinking. The scholarship also includes a mentoring service by Atlassian where the successful applicant will be paired up with one of Atlassian's mid-level designers for one-on-one coaching sessions during the scholarship period.
