About This Opportunity

The Anthony Reidy Memorial Prize in Accounting was established by the Chartered Accountants Cork Society to honour the memory of Anthony Reidy, a graduate of University College Cork who qualified as a Chartered Accountant and was a partner in PwC. Mr. Reidy served as Chair of the Chartered Accountants Cork Society from 2010 to 2012 and sadly passed away in July 2021. This annual prize of €1,000 is awarded to recognize academic excellence in accounting at the undergraduate level. The prize is specifically designed to support and acknowledge outstanding performance in the BSc Accounting Degree program at UCC. The award is given to the student who achieves the highest overall mark in the third year of the BSc Accounting Degree. Recipients must be current UCC students enrolled in this specific program. This memorial prize serves both to honor Anthony Reidy's legacy in the accounting profession and to encourage excellence in accounting education at University College Cork.
