About This Opportunity
The A&O Shearman Prize is a prestigious undergraduate award offered by A&O Shearman, the third largest integrated law firm in the world, in partnership with Queen's University Belfast School of Law. This prize recognizes academic excellence in corporate law by awarding the student who achieves the highest overall mark in the Company Law and Corporate Governance module. The prize carries a monetary award of £2,000 and serves to encourage outstanding performance in this specialized area of legal studies. To be eligible for the award, students must achieve a mark of 60 or higher in the module. In the event of a tie, the award can be split between a maximum of 4 students, or if more than 4 students tie, it can be split between the two students with the highest overall mark in each Level from among those with the top mark in the Company Law and Corporate Governance module. If no suitable candidate is identified based on the Company Law module, the prize may be awarded to the student who achieved the highest overall mark in another module, as agreed between the Sponsor and the School of Law.
