About This Opportunity

The Ascham Teacher Education Scholarship offers students a unique opportunity to work at Ascham School, a leading Independent School within the Greater Sydney area. The scholarship provides financial support to students in their final year of eligible teaching degrees, enabling them to gain practical experience through mentored placements and internships. Recipients spend one day per week at the school during term time and undertake an unpaid internship, receiving guidance from a mentor teacher while participating in academic, pastoral, and co-curricular activities. The scholarship is awarded to students with excellent academic records who demonstrate potential to contribute to the curricular and co-curricular life within the school. Eligible programs include both bachelor's and master's degrees in teaching across early childhood, primary, and secondary education, with specific subject areas including mathematics, sciences, English, French, commerce, business studies, economics, and history.
