The Balnaves Foundation Indigenous Medical Scholarship

The Balnaves Foundation Indigenous Medical Scholarship is designed to create a better Australia through education, medicine and the arts. This scholarship specifically supports Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students pursuing medical education. The scholarship offers significant financial support of $30,000 per year for the duration of the degree, up to a maximum of $180,000 total. This substantial funding is intended to help Indigenous students complete their Bachelor of Medicine or Bachelor of Surgery at James Cook University's Cairns, Nguma-bada campus. The scholarship requires full-time enrollment and is available only to commencing students in the year the scholarship is awarded.
