The Balnaves Foundation Indigenous Medical Scholarship

The Balnaves Foundation Indigenous Medical Scholarship aims to create a better Australia through education, medicine and the arts by supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students pursuing medical degrees. This scholarship offers $30,000 per year for the duration of your degree, up to a total of $180,000. To be eligible, applicants must identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander, be a commencing student in the year the scholarship is awarded, be studying a Bachelor of Medicine or Bachelor of Surgery, and be enrolled full-time at the James Cook University Cairns, Nguma-bada campus in Queensland. The scholarship is designed for undergraduate students committed to full-time study in medicine, providing substantial financial support throughout their medical education journey.
