About this opportunity
The Beasley Family Scholarship in Medicine and Nursing is designed to assist and encourage Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander students enrolled in the School of Medicine or the School of Nursing & Midwifery at The University of Notre Dame Australia, Fremantle campus. The scholarship aims to support Indigenous students whose educational opportunities are limited due to adverse circumstances.
To be eligible, applicants must be of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent, identify as an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander person, and be recognised by their community as such. They must be enrolled in either the School of Medicine or the School of Nursing & Midwifery at the University of Notre Dame Australia's Fremantle campus.
The scholarship provides approximately $5,000 in total support for one year of study. Two scholarships are offered annually, and recipients must be enrolled full-time at the Fremantle, Western Australia campus. Applications require written documentation demonstrating compliance with eligibility requirements and addressing selection criteria related to adverse circumstances affecting educational opportunities.
