The Bee Maid Fiftieth Anniversary Scholarship

The Bee Maid Fiftieth Anniversary Scholarship is an entrance award offered by BeeMaid Honey Limited through the University of Saskatchewan. This scholarship provides $1,000 to support students entering post-secondary education. Two scholarships are awarded annually to eligible applicants who are either children or grandchildren of members of affiliated producer cooperatives (Alberta Honey Producers CoOperative Limited, Manitoba Cooperative Honey Producers Limited) or employees of affiliated cooperatives or BeeMaid Honey, or individuals applying to the Commercial Beekeeping Certificate Program at Fairview College in Grand Prairie, Alberta. Recipients are selected based on academic achievement in the previous year, evidence of community involvement, and a 300-500 word essay on provided topic questions. Applicants must not have previously received this scholarship and must be enrolled or applying for enrollment at an accredited post-secondary institution in Canada.
