About this opportunity
The Big Bill Foundation Scholarship honors Bill Robinson, Co-Founder of Fit2Run and a dedicated community leader who passed away in 2020 following his battle with leukemia. Inspired by his legacy, the Big Bill Foundation was created with a mission to provide secondary education scholarships to students who have survived cancer. The scholarship provides $5,000 to students who have either survived cancer, are in remission, or are currently going through treatment for cancer in their youth, with plans to pursue secondary education including college, vocational training, or specialized courses. The foundation strives to ensure that financial constraints do not hinder the aspirations of these incredible young warriors. Applications are reviewed in two rounds, with 4-6 scholarships awarded annually. Recipients are selected and honored at community 5K running events, reflecting Bill Robinson's passion for sport and community service.
