About This Opportunity

This scholarship provides financial assistance to a PhD student undertaking research into the use of molecular nanobots for health within the School of Chemistry, Faculty of Science at the University of Sydney. The research will be undertaken as a collaborative project with co-supervision from the School of Chemical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering. The scholarship is funded by the Blain Family, the Faculty of Science, and the Sydney Nano Institute. It specifically supports research in DNA molecular nanorobotics with applications to drug delivery and health, requiring candidates to have a strong background in fields such as nanotechnology, chemistry, physics, biochemistry, cell biology, biomedical or chemical engineering. The scholarship provides a stipend equivalent to the University of Sydney's Research Training Program (RTP) rate for up to 3.5 years, subject to satisfactory academic performance.
