About this opportunity
This scholarship was created by the Braly Family Foundation to honor Geneva Smithlin, sister of Henry Braly, the founder of The Braly Family Foundation. Geneva graduated from the University of Northern Colorado (formerly Colorado State College) with a teaching degree in 1963. The scholarship supports current students pursuing a teaching degree at the University of Northern Colorado (UNC). The award provides $5,000 to help cover tuition, fees, required books and supplies, room and board, and other direct educational expenses related to study at UNC. The scholarship is awarded to one recipient annually and is split between semesters for the upcoming fall semester. Applicants must be full-time students enrolled in at least 12 credit hours per semester, have completed at least 30 college credit hours at the time of application, and maintain a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0.
