The Burke Family Scholarship

The Burke Family Scholarship supports full-time students majoring in Kinesiology and Sports Studies with the K-12 teacher certification option at Eastern Illinois University. Recipients must be student teaching at the time of receipt of the award and must be senior or graduate students. The scholarship recognizes students who are active in professional activities within the Kinesiology and Sports Studies Department, possess strong commitment and dedication to the field, serve as positive representatives of EIU, and show passion for promoting health and wellness. A minimum GPA of 3.00 is required. Financial need is not a consideration for this award. The award is announced in the Spring and paid in the Fall or Spring semester.
