About This Opportunity

The Christine and Ian Bolt scholarship is available for a UK-resident student applying to the MA in English and American Literature in the School of English at the University of Kent. The scholarship provides a tuition fee waiver at the UK Home rate. Through this MA programme, students will develop advanced research skills which they will apply to their dissertation. Working alongside world-leading researchers with expertise ranging from the medieval to the contemporary, students will have the opportunity to discover and expand their knowledge on a diverse range of literary periods and topics, including global literatures and indigenous decolonial knowledges, American literature and culture, postcolonial theory, ecocriticism, phenomenology, disability studies, migration, and rights and activism. This scholarship provides students with knowledge and skills for a range of careers, including teaching, publishing, arts management, journalism and many other sectors, or a solid foundation for PhD study.
