About this opportunity
The Claire and Edmund Burke Bursary is a scholarship specifically designed to support female students pursuing the MEng Aeronautical Engineering degree at Imperial College London. The bursary provides £700 per month for up to four years of study, totaling £31,500 over the course of the degree program. This opportunity aims to encourage and support women entering the field of aeronautical engineering.
To be eligible, applicants must be female students who apply for the MEng Aeronautical Engineering degree for 2025 entry and make Imperial their firm choice. Students must enroll in the program in September 2025 and make satisfactory academic progress each year to continue receiving funding. The bursary covers four years of full-time study at Imperial, though students on five-year degree variants with a year abroad or year in industry are also eligible.
There is no separate application process for this bursary. Eligible candidates who receive an offer for the MEng Aeronautical Engineering degree will be automatically considered based on academic merit demonstrated throughout the admissions process. Successful candidates will be notified of their nomination for the bursary by July 31, 2025.
