About this opportunity
Established in 2018, the Clissold Scholarship was generously donated by the late Geoffrey Kenneth Clissold to assist students from lower socioeconomic backgrounds studying Arts, Social Work, Economics or Business at the University of Sydney. The scholarship is valued at $7,000 per annum and is tenable for the duration of the agreed undergraduate program, paid in two equal instalments after the census date of each semester. This scholarship supports domestic students who can demonstrate various forms of disadvantage including financial hardship, carer responsibilities, Indigenous Australian status, disability, refugee status, regional or remote disadvantage, or sole-parent responsibilities. Recipients must maintain a minimum Semester Average Mark (SAM) of 65 each semester to continue receiving the scholarship. Up to four scholarships may be offered, with efforts made to award a scholarship to each discipline: Arts, Social Work, Economics, and Business.
