The Darwin Park Imperial Bursary

The Darwin Park Imperial Bursary is available to second-year students enrolled in Chemical Engineering Technology, Instrumentation Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Materials Engineering Technology, School of Business, or Computer Engineering Technology programs at NAIT. The bursary recognizes students who are residents of Alberta and have achieved a high level of academic performance, either before or during their attendance at NAIT. Applicants must demonstrate leadership through various extra-curricular activities that benefit their school or community. These activities may include community volunteer work or participation in school or community-related art, music, science, or athletic programs. The award places special consideration on students who have exhibited exceptional courage, character, and academic performance while overcoming significant life challenges such as illness, physical debilitation, or difficult family circumstances. To be considered for this award, students must submit a complete application including an essay describing how they have exhibited courage, character, and academic performance while overcoming significant personal challenges. The award amount varies and the deadline for applications is February 13, 2026.
