About this opportunity
The David Stuart Hicks Scholarship is an undergraduate scholarship valued at $8,000 to assist students enrolled in the Bachelor of Laws (LLB) at the University of Sydney Law School. The scholarship is tenable for one year only and is paid in two equal instalments after the census date of each semester.
The scholarship was established in honor of David Stuart Hicks Q.C., a graduate of the University of Sydney whose career was distinguished in both the legal and military fields. In keeping with his reputation as a generous mentor to his junior colleagues during his time on the bench, this scholarship benefits students enrolled for the degree of Bachelor of Laws at the University of Sydney Law School.
Applicants must be recent school leavers commencing full-time study in a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree, including combined degrees, and must demonstrate financial need. The scholarship is awarded based on academic merit and demonstrated financial hardship. Recipients must maintain a minimum Semester Average Mark (SAM) of 65 each semester to continue receiving the scholarship.
