About this opportunity
The David Tupman Women in Technology Scholarship has been funded by alumnus David Tupman to encourage and support ambitious young women to undertake a degree in Engineering at De Montfort University. The scholarship provides £3,000 per year of study across three years, totaling £9,000 over the duration of the undergraduate program. Recipients receive financial support along with mentoring and guidance from David Tupman himself, and access to a supportive peer network that includes recipients of 'The David Tupman Engineering Scholarship' offered by the University of Salford. This scholarship is specifically designed for female students entering their first year of either the Computer Science BSc (Hons) or Electrical and Electronic Engineering BEng/MEng undergraduate degree programs. Eligible students must be UK home/fee-paying students with household income up to £50,000, demonstrating financial need through Student Finance assessment. The scholarship aims to break down barriers for women entering technology fields while providing ongoing support throughout their studies.
