About this opportunity
The Delma and Albert Moulding Scholarship provides financial assistance to students studying the Doctor of Medicine who are from a rural or remote area of Australia. This Scholarship was established in 2019 to support domestic students enrolled in the Doctor of Medicine (Dubbo program) at the University of Sydney.
The scholarship is valued at $11,250 per annum and is tenable for up to four years, providing a total of up to $45,000 in support. Payments are made in two equal instalments after the census date of each semester. To maintain the scholarship, recipients must maintain satisfactory academic performance and complete each year of the program.
Applicants must be from a rural or regional area of Australia, including areas classified as inner (rural) and outer regional (RA2 and RA3 respectively) and remote or very remote (RA4 and RA5 respectively) under the Australian Statistical Geography Standard (ASGS). Preference is given to applicants with evidence of financial need. The scholarship is awarded based on a personal statement and cannot be deferred or transferred to another university school, faculty, or university.

The Scholarship will be awarded by the Head of School and Dean of the Sydney Medical School, or their nominated delegates based on a personal statement with preference given to applicants with evidence of financial need.
