The Department Of Pharmacology & Therapeutics Student Prize For Excellence In Pharmacology

The Department of Pharmacology & Therapeutics at University College Cork sponsors an annual prize to recognize the student with the best overall results in Pharmacology based on specific modules across the four years of the BPharm degree. The prize awards €250 and a commemorative parchment to the student who achieves the best results in Pharmacology aggregated over the four years of the Bachelor of Pharmacy degree. The prize evaluates performance in modules PT1445 and PT2448, as well as the Pharmacology elements of PF3009, PF3010, PF3012, and PF4014. To be eligible, students must attain a pass in all modules with no compensation permitted in any subject. Exams must be taken at the Summer Examination at the first opportunity, though students taking exams for the first time at Supplemental Examinations due to illness, injury, or other mitigating circumstances remain eligible. This prize is exclusively available to current UCC students enrolled in the Bachelor of Pharmacy program. In the event of a tie between two or more qualified students, the total prize amount will be divided equally among them. The award recognizes academic excellence in pharmacology throughout the entire undergraduate pharmacy curriculum.
