The Donald Lionel Edgerton Scholarship

The Donald Lionel Edgerton Scholarship supports male students undertaking operatic studies at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, University of Sydney. Established in 1988 from the estate of Donald Lionel Edgerton, this scholarship assists outstanding students pursuing both coursework and research degrees in opera. The scholarship is awarded based on academic merit and/or portfolio and performance, with postgraduate research applicants also evaluated on research achievements and potential. No separate application is required; eligible students are automatically considered as part of their admission application to the Sydney Conservatorium of Music. The scholarship value and duration are determined by the Dean of the Sydney Conservatorium of Music and stipulated in the scholarship offer letter to successful recipients.
