About this opportunity

The Douglas and Margaret Saunders Elective Term Medical Scholarship provides up to $4,000 to support Doctor of Medicine students at the University of Sydney who are undertaking an elective term in Zambia. Established in 2014, this scholarship was created to facilitate the international elective term experience for students enrolled in the Doctor of Medicine program. The scholarship is awarded based on academic merit, curriculum vitae, and a personal statement outlining the elective term itinerary, goals, commitment to studies, and reasons for deserving the scholarship. Preference is given to applicants undertaking their elective term in Zambia for the full duration of the approved elective term period (eight weeks). The scholarship is funded by a donation from Douglas Saunders and is offered subject to the availability of funds.
