The Dr. Fred and Sara Jane Preston Award in Nursing

The Dr. Fred and Sara Jane Preston Award in Nursing is a scholarship opportunity for nursing students enrolled in the RN to BSN program at Eastern Illinois University. Recipients must be junior or senior level students who have been accepted to EIU and are enrolled either full-time or part-time in the RN to BSN program. The award requires a minimum GPA of 3.00 and recipients must plan to continue pursuit of a career in nursing. Applicants must submit a one-page essay on their career ambitions along with a minimum of two faculty references. Preference is given first to married students with children, with secondary preference to unmarried students with children. Financial need serves as the determining factor when two or more students are equally qualified. This award is paid in the Fall semester.
