The Dr Sinead Kinsella Medal

The Dr Sinead Kinsella Medal is awarded to an intern based in the Intern Network South which is affiliated with the School of Medicine at University College Cork. This prestigious medal is made possible through a philanthropic contribution in memory of the late Dr Sinead Kinsella and promotes excellence in medical education and healthcare. The selection is made based on the adjudication of cases presented by interns. The selection process involves an initial invitation to submit a case, followed by inviting a panel of finalists to make a presentation at a special event, with the winner being chosen by a small adjudication panel. This award recognizes outstanding achievement and excellence among medical interns in the South of Ireland.
