About this opportunity
The Edmund Boyo Scholarship is a generous donation to the University of Kent designed to support one full-time undergraduate student pursuing a Bachelor of Law (with Honours) degree. The scholarship provides a full Home-rate tuition fee waiver for the entire duration of the student's studies, normally three years, subject to satisfactory academic progress. The scholarship specifically aims to support Black students from lower socio-economic backgrounds, particularly those who are first-generation university students. Applicants must be eligible for home fees, have applied for a tuition fee loan from Student Finance England, and have accepted an offer from the University of Kent to study law. The selected scholar will be chosen based on demonstration of financial hardship, A-level results or equivalent, and the strength of a 500-word statement describing their motivations for studying at Kent and how the scholarship will support their studies.
