About This Opportunity

The Eoin Murray Memorial Scholarship in Creative Writing is a memorial fund established by friends and family of the late Eoin Murray, a poet and musician who valued creativity, authenticity, and connection with nature and humanity. The scholarship supports the development of creative writing within University College Cork in association with the School of English. The recipient will use the monetary award to develop a body of creative writing over the summer period. The holder of the scholarship will have the opportunity to perform their work at the end of the summer, which serves both as a showcase for the recipient and as a means of contributing to the scholarship for the coming year. Work submitted will be showcased on the eoinmurray.org website, with publication in the UCC literary journal the Quarryman as an intended outcome of the scholarship.
