The Falmouth University Travel Fund

The Falmouth University Travel Fund is designed to support individuals with the costs of visiting the University for recruitment and admissions events. The fund assists UK residents who meet specific eligibility criteria with travel costs to Open Days, Offer Holder Days, On-campus Interviews, Regional Interviews, and Campus tours. Falmouth University is committed to widening participation to Higher Education, and the aim of this fund is to bring more individuals who are typically underrepresented in Higher Education onto campus. Eligible individuals must pay the full cost of their travels upfront and will then be reimbursed by the Travel Fund up to specified thresholds based on distance travelled. Applicants can make a claim for one visit only, with a maximum of one claim per household. If they become an applicant or offer holder, they are eligible for one additional claim. Awards range from £10 to £100 depending on distance travelled, with payments made within 6 weeks of submitting the claim. All awards are made on a discretionary basis and are subject to funding availability.
