About this opportunity

The Faculty Women in Engineering and IT Scholarship has been established by UTS Faculty of Engineering and IT with the goal of increasing the participation of women in Engineering and IT as a non-traditional area of study. The Scholarship provides financial assistance for the first year of study in a chosen Engineering or IT degree. The scholarship awards $10,000 to female-identifying students commencing their first year of undergraduate study in the Faculty of Engineering and IT at the University of Technology Sydney. Preference may be given to students who can demonstrate financial disadvantage and/or other educational disadvantages through the UAC Equity Scholarship or Educational Access Scheme application, including criteria such as financial hardship, regional or remote background, sole parent or carer responsibilities, long-term medical conditions, Indigenous Australian status, or refugee status. Selection is based on academic merit, interest in Engineering or IT, initiative in extra-curricular activities, motivation for women in engineering and IT, and other suitability criteria identified by the Selection Committee.
