About this opportunity
This Scholarship has been established to provide financial assistance to a PhD student who is undertaking research in ophthalmology. The scholarship is funded by the Florence and Stanley Sullivan Fund and provides a stipend allowance equivalent to the University of Sydney Research Training Program (RTP) Stipend rate for up to 3.5 years, subject to satisfactory academic performance. The successful applicant will be awarded the Scholarship on the basis of academic merit, area of study and research proposal, and previous research experience. Candidates are assessed and ranked against paid work experience (20%), publications (60%, with the most points going to first authored Q1 journal publications), and other research outputs (20%). The student assessment accounts for 60% of the final score, while the remaining 40% is based on the supervisor's professionalism and collegiality rating.
