About this opportunity
The Frederick Sefton Delmer Scholarship is a postgraduate research scholarship established to provide financial assistance to postgraduate research students who are undertaking research in Germanic Studies at the University of Sydney. The scholarship provides a stipend allowance of $10,000 per annum for students enrolled full-time in a master's by research or PhD program. This scholarship was established from a gift from Miss Margaret Mabel Sefton Delmer to establish an award in Germanic Studies in memory of her father, Frederick Sefton Delmer. The scholarship is awarded on the basis of academic merit, area of study and/or research proposal, curriculum vitae, previous research experience, and a personal statement demonstrating strong research capability, how the applicant will benefit from the scholarship, and their interest in the area of research. Recipients must undertake research in the field of Germanic studies within the School of Languages and Cultures, Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences.
