About this opportunity
The Friends of the ANU Classics Museum Grant for Collection Research is an annual award offered by the School of Literature, Languages and Linguistics at the Australian National University. The objective of the Award is to support Honours and Master's students whose thesis research will include the study of objects in the collection of the ANU Classics Museum, especially their provenance and collection history.
Funding for this Award has been provided by The Friends of the ANU Classics Museum, which was established in 1985 to promote the interests of the Museum and to encourage interest in Ancient Greece and Rome in the wider community. The grant is available to both domestic and international students enrolled in eligible specializations within the College of Arts and Social Sciences.
The award provides a one-off payment of $2,000 AUD to support research that focuses on the provenance and collection history of objects in the ANU Classics Museum. Recipients are responsible for all tuition fees, books, study materials, accommodation, and other costs of study. The scholarship is awarded based on academic merit and the relevance of the proposed research to the museum's collection.
