About this opportunity
This scholarship provides financial support to students whose studies relate to Southeast Asia. It was established from a donation by Gabrielle Ewington to support students undertaking undergraduate studies (including honours) within the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences at the University of Sydney. The scholarship is specifically for students planning to enrol or currently enrolled in studies focusing on Southeast Asian studies, defined as any unit with substantial content relating to Southeast Asia in general, or specifically to Brunei, Burma/Myanmar, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Timor Leste, Thailand and Vietnam. Preference is given to applicants who identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander, are from low socio-economic areas, experiencing financial hardship, living with a disability, or from rural or regional areas. Recipients must maintain a minimum Semester Average Mark of 50 each semester to continue receiving the scholarship.
