About this opportunity
The George Alexander Foundation Scholarships support commencing, full time, undergraduate students relocating from rural/regional areas to study at Swinburne, who demonstrate strong academic merit, leadership potential, and a passion for community involvement. The George Alexander Foundation was established in 1972 by the late industrialist and philanthropist, Mr George Alexander AM, to assist talented students achieve their potential and go on to contribute to the Australian community. This scholarship is valued at up to $24,000, with $8,000 per year, paid bi-annually, for up to three years. The scholarship is designed to support students who need to reside away from home in order to undertake tertiary study, and who have achieved a minimum ATAR of 80.00. Applicants must demonstrate community involvement through extra-curricular service to the community, sporting participation, and/or leadership qualities.
