About this opportunity
The GHD Foundation PhD Scholarship is funded by GHD Foundation to provide financial assistance to international research students within the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Sydney to undertake research in humanitarian engineering. The scholarship specifically supports research students from Fiji, Papua New Guinea or the Philippines. The scholarship provides comprehensive financial support including a stipend allowance equivalent to the University of Sydney Research Training Program (RTP) Stipend rate for up to 3.5 years, as well as additional funding for relocation and research expenses. Recipients must be undertaking full-time PhD studies in the Faculty of Engineering and hold an Honours degree (First Class or Second Class Upper), Master's degree or equivalent in a related field. Preference is given to applicants who are the first member of their immediate family to undertake tertiary study and/or who need financial assistance. Engineering PhD students researching in humanitarian engineering applying for admission are automatically considered for this scholarship, with no separate application required.
