The Going Abroad Scholarship

The Going Abroad Scholarship is designed to help students travel and experience the world through study abroad programs. Since 2017, Going has supported young travelers in their educational pursuits overseas. Twice a year, two outstanding students are awarded $1,500 scholarships toward their upcoming study abroad program. The scholarship is open to both undergraduate and graduate students who are enrolled full-time at accredited institutions of higher learning in the United States and its territories. Applicants are required to submit a three- to four-minute video essay addressing questions about their motivations for studying abroad, the impact they hope to make, and why they are the right person for this experience. Application deadlines are March 15th for fall study abroad and October 15th for spring study abroad, with winners notified by March 31st and October 31st respectively. The scholarship aims to make international education more accessible and support students in gaining valuable cross-cultural experiences.
