The Graduate of the Year Award

The Graduate of the Year Award is an annual prize of €2,000 and a parchment presented to the most distinguished student of the year at University College Cork. The award is normally confined to students who have graduated during the preceding session in the College/Faculty first chosen by them and in the minimum prescribed time. The award is made after the presentation of a report from the Accreditation Committee. In making the award, both academic distinctions and the part played in the public life of the University are taken into consideration. This prestigious recognition honors exceptional students who have demonstrated excellence not only in their academic pursuits but also in their contributions to the broader university community.
