About this opportunity
The Gregg Dentistry Scholarship for Indigenous students was established in 2023 to provide assistance to Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander students studying dentistry at the University of Sydney. This scholarship has been donated by Michael and Suzanne Gregg to support Indigenous students pursuing dental education. The scholarship provides comprehensive financial support of $50,000 per annum for up to four years to eligible students enrolled in either a Bachelor of Oral Health or Doctor of Dental Medicine program at the University of Sydney School of Dentistry. The funding is split into $35,000 per annum as a cash payment (with recommendations for $10,000 for living costs and $25,000 for accommodation) and $15,000 per annum towards tuition fees. Recipients must be willing to work as a dentist in a rural, regional or remote area upon completion of their studies, helping to address healthcare access issues in underserved Australian communities.
