About this opportunity
The Helpmann Family Fellowship supports students from financially disadvantaged backgrounds to study opera at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music. Established in 1996 from the estate of Sheila Mary Helpmann, the fellowship assists outstanding students to undertake studies in opera. The scholarship is available to both coursework and research degree students who are enrolled or have an unconditional offer to study full-time at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music. The scholarship value and duration are determined by the Dean of the Sydney Conservatorium of Music and stipulated in the scholarship offer letter to successful recipients. Recipients are selected based on personal statement, demonstrated evidence of financial disadvantage, and for postgraduate research applicants, research achievements and potential.
