The Highland Fusion Bursary

University of St Andrews Original Source

About This Opportunity

The Highland Fusion Bursary was established in 2023 by the University of St Andrews dance club to provide financial assistance to current and prospective members of the Highland Fusion Dance team. As more students face financial concerns due to the cost-of-living crisis, the added expense of a full club membership may discourage students from joining the club, depriving them of the physical and social benefits of participating in team sports such as hockey and dance. The bursary alleviates financial concerns and allows students to continue their engagement in the club and sport. Successful applicants must be members of the University Dance Club and must have been selected onto the Highland Fusion Dance team following auditions at the start of term. The bursary is means-tested based on financial need and hardship. This award is paid for one academic year and covers either full Highland Fusion membership and jacket (£175) or performance Highland Fusion membership (£77) for the 2025-2026 academic year.
