About this opportunity
This Scholarship was established in 2023 to provide financial assistance to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students to study an Extended Bachelor degree program at the University of Sydney. The scholarship is funded by a donation from Kimberley Holden and Angus Holden. Recipients receive comprehensive support including tuition fee assistance, accommodation costs, and living expenses over up to four years of study. In the first year, recipients receive $10,000 towards tuition fees and $15,000 for living expenses. In subsequent years, the support increases to include $10,000 for tuition, $25,000 for accommodation, and $15,000 for living expenses. The scholarship is awarded based on financial hardship related to regional or remote disadvantage and a personal statement addressing challenges of relocating to Sydney for study.
