About This Opportunity
Founded by a gift in 1953 from Hugh Turtle, Esq, LLD, the Hugh Turtle Prizes in Civil Engineering are awarded annually at Queen's University Belfast. Two or more prizes to a total value of approximately £600 are awarded for the best projects and dissertations by undergraduate students in Civil Engineering within the School of Natural and Built Environment. The awards recognize excellence in academic project work and are made on the recommendation of the Head of Civil Engineering in consultation with the Undergraduate Board of Examiners. Prizes are awarded to both BEng students and MEng students who demonstrate outstanding performance in their final year projects or dissertations. The total value of prizes awarded cannot exceed the income available from the original endowment.
