About This Opportunity

The John and Rita Henke Scholarship is a financial award available to undergraduate engineering students with disabilities from low-income households. The scholarship provides a bursary of £16,250 per annum for up to 4 years to support students studying in the Faculty of Engineering at Imperial College London. The scholarship is specifically designed to support students who are ordinarily resident in the United Kingdom with Home fee status and have a disability as defined in the Equality Act 2010. Only one scholarship is awarded each year to a prospective student starting in the Faculty of Engineering who demonstrates financial need with a household income of £60,000 or less. Recipients must be starting their studies in the specified academic year, and the award cannot be deferred. Continuation of the scholarship is subject to maintaining satisfactory academic progress throughout the duration of study.

Review process

Applications are forwarded to the Faculty of Engineering for review based on academic profiles. Shortlisted candidates are then asked to submit disability evidence to the Disability Advisory Service for verification.
