About This Opportunity

The Johnson Nursing Scholarship provides $5,000 in financial support to nursing students at the University of Sydney who are experiencing financial hardship. Established in 2021 through a generous donation by Michelle Johnson, this scholarship assists undergraduate and postgraduate coursework students enrolled full-time in the Susan Wakil School of Nursing and Midwifery. The scholarship is tenable for one year and paid in two equal instalments after the census date of each semester. Preference is given to applicants who identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander, or who come from rural or remote areas under the Modified Monash Model classification. Recipients must maintain a minimum Semester Average Mark of 50 to continue receiving the scholarship. This opportunity supports students pursuing nursing education while managing financial disadvantage, with selection based on a personal statement and evidence of financial need.
