About this opportunity

This scholarship supports Doctor of Medicine (MD) students undertaking their Elective Term in the area of infectious diseases and/or medical care in a developing country. Established in 2017 through a generous donation from Miss Patricia Will, the scholarship assists students who wish to gain experience in global health settings. Eligible applicants must be enrolled full-time in the third year of the Doctor of Medicine program at the University of Sydney. The scholarship provides $3,000 as a one-off payment for the elective term period, along with travel insurance provided by the University of Sydney in accordance with university policy. Selection is based on academic merit, curriculum vitae, references, a personal statement, and the content and location of the Elective Term. Applicants may be required to attend an interview.
