The Ken Schutz "Plant Science and Desert Ecology" Scholarship

The Ken Schutz Scholarship is intended to provide financial resources and support for graduate students seeking to serve and preserve the beautiful Sonoran Desert. This scholarship is open to students pursuing a masters or doctorate in the following fields of study: Molecular Research or Fieldwork, Horticulture, Conservation, Biology, Plant Biology, Sustainability, and/or studies related to the conservation and preservation of the Sonoran Desert. This is a one time scholarship, however students will have the option to reapply up to one additional year for masters students and four additional years for doctoral students. Students will have the opportunity to participate in a summer fellowship at the Desert Botanical Garden and meet the scholarship's namesake.
