About this opportunity
The Kevin O'Riordan Memorial Prize was established in memory of Kevin O'Riordan, a cherished husband, father, and friend. Through the generosity of his family and friends, this prize honours Kevin's legacy by recognising excellence in the MSc in Palliative Care Programme at University College Cork. This award is especially fitting, as palliative care was a cause close to Kevin's wife, his family, and to Kevin himself. The medal will not only recognise academic excellence but will also continue Kevin's legacy of supporting others to achieve their very best. Awarded annually, the prize is presented to the student who achieves the highest-marked dissertation in the MSc in Palliative Care, a joint programme between the UCC School of Medicine and Marymount University Hospital & Hospice. The recipient will receive a gold medal bearing Kevin's name, together with a €1,000 cash award.
