The King-Platt Memorial Awards

The King-Platt Memorial Awards are provided annually to graduate students at the University of Victoria who are enrolled in MSc or PhD programs in the Department of Biology. The awards specifically support students whose research work is related to the ecology of birds. Up to five awards may be awarded each year. The award recognizes students with strong academic standing, with a minimum A- average typically required for consideration. These awards are assigned based on nominations from eligible academic units, and no separate application is required from students. Recipients must be enrolled as full-time graduate students at the time of the award.
