About this opportunity
The Kirkpix Trust Scholarship supports outstanding first or second year students at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music who are studying saxophone. Established in 2008, the scholarship was donated by Kirk Ivor Reginald Keating to assist students from financially disadvantaged backgrounds to undertake studies in saxophone at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music.
Applicants must be enrolled full-time in a coursework degree at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, be in their first or second year of their first award course, and come from a financially disadvantaged background. The scholarship will be awarded based on a personal statement and demonstrated evidence of disadvantage, and applicants may be required to attend an interview.
The scholarship value and duration are determined by the Dean of the Sydney Conservatorium of Music and stipulated in the scholarship offer letter. Recipients must maintain a minimum Semester Average Mark (SAM) of 65 each semester to continue receiving the scholarship. The annual payment is made in two equal instalments after the census date of each semester.
