About this opportunity
The L E R Tonnet and Family Scholarship in Chemistry is a postgraduate research scholarship established from a gift by the late Marie Lorraine Tonnet. The scholarship provides a stipend allowance equivalent to the University of Sydney's Research Training Program (RTP) stipend rate for students pursuing a Masters by Research or PhD in chemistry, with a preference for physical chemistry. The scholarship supports full-time research candidates for up to 1.75 years for Masters by Research students or up to 3.5 years for PhD students. Recipients must be enrolled in the School of Chemistry at the Faculty of Science, hold an honours degree (first class or second class upper) or a master's degree with a substantial research component in a related field, and be willing to conduct research involving physical chemistry. The scholarship includes standard leave provisions, with 20 working days recreation leave and 10 working days sick leave annually.
