The Lady Eileen McDonald EU & International Student Fund is designed to assist EU and International students at the University of Strathclyde who face one-off, unforeseen financial emergencies that cannot be met through their savings, income, or sponsorship. The fund provides short-term financial support to help students overcome immediate hardship and continue their studies successfully. The fund is specifically not intended to replace or supplement ongoing living costs, but rather to address unexpected financial crises that occur after students have started their courses with appropriate funding arrangements already in place. Students must not be eligible for the University Discretionary Fund due to their residence status to qualify for this support. Awards typically range from £300 to £500 and are assessed on a case-by-case basis. The fund aims to make a significant contribution to students' ability to complete their studies by providing grants to meet immediate short-term living costs during financial emergencies.
